Privacy Policy

In short

You don't need an account, email or phone number to use Chiqi. Your closet, your photos and your face data stay on your phone. We don't show ads, we don't track you and we don't sell your data.

What stays on your phone

Scanning your gallery and cutting clothes out of photos happens entirely on your phone; your photos are not uploaded to our servers.

The pieces in your closet, your outfits and your outfit plan are stored only on your phone.

If you choose to save your face data so the gallery scan can recognize you, it is processed and stored only on your phone and never sent to any server. We ask for your explicit consent before doing this.

What reaches our servers

Anonymous ID: on first launch the app creates a random identifier. We tie your Perfect credits and subscription to it. Your name, email or your device's advertising identifier are never attached to it.

Language and time zone: taken from your device settings and used to show messages in the right language.

Perfect: when you perfect a piece, only the cutout of that piece, its category and a short description are sent, never the full photo. The image is passed to an AI provider to be turned into a product photo and the result is sent back to you. We don't store the image on our servers. For cost and error tracking we only record the time, category, duration and outcome of the request.

Technical logs: to prevent abuse (for example rate limiting) and fix errors, IP addresses and request details are kept in short-lived server logs.

Purchases

Payments are handled by Apple through the App Store; your card details never reach us. We use RevenueCat to link your subscription status to your anonymous ID. Only your anonymous ID and the purchase information reported by Apple are shared with RevenueCat.

Service providers

Our servers run at Hetzner (Germany) and traffic passes through Cloudflare. Images you perfect are passed to AI models through OpenRouter. Apple and RevenueCat are used for purchases. Some of these providers are located outside Türkiye; data is shared only for the purposes described above and only as much as needed.

Deleting your data

In the app, Profile > Delete all my data removes your closet, outfits, plan and face data from your phone. Deleting the app also removes the data stored on your phone.

Children

Chiqi is not directed at children under 13 and we don't knowingly collect data from them.
